ARRIVE VENICE

Flight to Venice Marco Polo Airport. Welcome to Venice! You will be taken by private transfer to the hotel. Please feel free to refresh and relax or take a stroll. Welcome dinner at your hotel.

VENICE

Enjoy breakfast at leisure. Today you will have a private guided tour of Venice, enjoy seeing some of the most beautiful buildings of the world with history and culture that date back many hundreds of years. See the Bridge of Sighs, Palladian Churches, Customs House, Grand Canal, St Mark’s Basilica and the ornate Doge’s Palace. Free time is an opportunity to visit some galleries or relax at a café on St. Mark’s Square. Consider a boat trip to Venice Islands like Murano or Burano. The evening is free for you to dine of your choice. (B)

VENICE - ROVINJ

After breakfast we leave beautiful Venice and travel to Rovinj. After boat transfer, you will be driven by private chauffeur to Rovinj. Your accommodation will be at rewarded hotels Monte Mulini or Lone. In the afternoon we have arranged for you to enjoy Rovinj sightseeing, one of the most charming towns in the Adriatic. A private guide will present you with all the magical beauties of Rovinj, especially its old romantic town. In Old Town there are a lot of local artists and galleries. Enjoy a private dinner at an a la carte restaurant in Old City or at your hotel.

ROVINJ – MALI LOŠINJ

Enjoy breakfast at leisure. After breakfast departure to Mali Lošinj (approx. 5 hours).Lošinj – positioned in Augusta Bay, and with 7000 inhabitants, today it is the biggest island town in the Adriatic. Lošinj, which had been almost uninhabited until the middle of the 13th century, developed into a leading regional maritime power by the 19th century. The town of Lošinj became the second most important port in the Adriatic, immediately after Trieste. The inhabitants of Lošinj were not only known for their skilfulness in constructing sailing ships but they were also known as the best seamen in the Mediterranean. Due to its excellent climate and natural healing factors its potential was recognised already in the late 19th century and Mali Lošinj was proclaimed a climatic health resort in 1892 by the land law of the Austrian Government. In the afternoon guided walking city tour of Mali Lošinj.

MALI LOŠINJ – SAILING

Enjoy breakfast at leisure after which we have arranged for your sailing day. Today you will see the unique islands and bays of Cres and Lošinj archipelago. After breakfast we are going to embark on the sailboat anchored in front of Hotel Bellevue and together with our skipper begin one exciting sail to the islands of Susak and Unije. Susak – the sandy island – is a unique island in the Adriatic Sea due to its origin and its appearance. The island used to be known for its wine and dense population. It is estimated that today in the United States lives more than 2,500 people from Susak, mostly in the state of New Jersey. The island has a lot cultural customs and colorful bright colour folk costumes. A short break for refreshments and exploring the Upper and Lower village. After Susak, our journey takes us to the island of Unije. It is an island of olive groves in which treetops murmur the spirit of the past, since the island was inhabited prior to the Ancient World. Today it is a typical fishing village with 280 houses and less than 100 permanent residents. The story says that in Roman times over 20 000 olive trees grew on Unije. We will climb up to the viewpoint and enjoy our lunch at the local restaurant. Return to Čikat bay is planned in the evening hours.

MALI LOŠINJ - TREKKING

Enjoy breakfast at leisure after which we have arranged for you to enjoy a day in nature. In the morning enjoy yoga or stretching classes and inhale the fresh air. In the afternoon come together with our guide for unique sunset trekking. You will have an opportunity to explore the real island of Lošinj and well-known trekking footpath along the west coast of the island. The hike with private guide starts in Čikat bay and continues to Silver Bay and Golden Bay. We continue to Boca Falsa Bay from where we continue through the pine tree forest to the old lookout point, Monte Baston. Here you will have an impressive view of the city centre and the neighbouring islands – Susak, Srakane, Unije and even the island of Rab. We continue our walk to the Lanterna restaurant, the ideal place for enjoying sunset in Lošinj. The restaurant is located near the Madonna Annunziata church, built in 1858, where the sailors of Lošinj prayed with their families before leaving. Enjoy dinnerand beautiful sunset at a la carte restaurant Lanterna.

MALI LOŠINJ - SAILING

Enjoy breakfast at leisure after which we have arranged for your sailing day. Today you will see one of the most beautiful Lošinj bays and Ilovik Island. After breakfast we are going to embark on the sailboat anchored in front of Hotel Bellevue and together with our skipper begin the exciting sail to Krivica and Ilovik. Explore Ilovik – due to its geographic location, the harbour between Ilovik and Sveti Petar has been used as a safe anchorage since ancient times. This also brought the first inhabitants to these islands. The oldest traces of civilisation are from the Illyrian tribe, Liburni. Visitors can also see evidence of the presence of the civilisation of Ancient Rome on the island. The remains of Roman buildings, mosaics, coins, a burial sarcophagus as well as an underwater archaeological site have been located in this area. For Ilovik it is said that it is the island of flowers because there are oleanders, palms and roses around almost every house and the specificity of this island are tall eucalyptus trees. After unique Ilovik we continue our trip to Krivica bay, where you can enjoy the specialties of traditional cuisine and local lamb. Return to Čikat bay in the evening hours.

MALI LOŠINJ –PORTOROŽ

Breakfast. Today our journey continues to Portorož, a charming Slovenian town. Today our trip starts from Mali Lošinj to the old town of Osor. Osor lies at a narrow channel that separates the islands of Cres and Lošinj. Today Osor is a small town with only 70 inhabitants, but with a glorious past. It is an open-air museum with rich historical heritage, from the contemporary Meštrović to the ruins of the ancient walls, fort and the first early Christian basilica. Together with a private guide you will visit The Osor Archaeological Collection – Museum of Lošinj. Our next stop will be the small city of Lubenice on the Island of Cres. Lubenice is an ancient fort city that was founded approximately four thousand years ago on top of a 380 m high ridge that overlooks the Adriatic Sea. It is a small local centre that comprises forty buildings and seven permanent inhabitants. Buildings in the city are constructed out of the same material as the surrounding cliffs and there are two well-preserved extant city gates on the North and South of the city as well as a wall in the East. Enjoy a typical Croatian lunch in the Hibernica restaurant. Our tour continues to port Porozine. Ferry line to Brestova (duration 20 minutes) and continuing to Portorož. A driver will take you to the rewarded hotel – the Kempinski Palace. Farewell dinner in the restaurant overlooking the bay of Piran.

Breakfast. This memorable trip comes to the end. Transfer to Venice Airport and flight home.
